The last thunderclap took the lights with it. The house was covered in darkness and only by the lightning lighting up the sky could he manage to find her.
She jerked violently when he touched her. He picked her up in his arms, carrying her towards his bedroom.
“Shhhh, baby. I’m here now. Shhhhh. Everything is going to be ok.”
He stroked her hair and it seemed to ease the death grip she had on his neck.
She was wet and cold against his warm body. He wasn’t sure if her shivering had anything to do with her wet clothes or her fear of thunder.
“Lets get you dry baby.” Her erratic breathing in his neck turned his stomach to molten lava.
She held onto him for dear life but didn’t utter a single word.
Half way up the stairs and the lights flickered back to life.
They entered his room and he slid her softly from him. She stood like a mannequin in the middle of the room, her teeth chattering and her eyes huge.
He grabbed a towel and walked towards her, sucking in his breath as he realized how thin her clothes were.
Her tee was clinging to her body, outlining her perky breasts perfectly. She had a pair of white shorts on and lacy panties teasing him to insanity.
He wrapped the towel around her and kept himself busy with drying her long wet strands.
“We’ll have to get you out of these wet clothes baby.”
She stepped from him and headed towards the bathroom, grabbing a tee from the cupboard he peeked around to give it to her.
She had failed to close the door and was now standing in her bra and holy shit!...thongs. Her back was turned to him and she didn’t notice the gaping man staring at her perfect butt cheeks. Her legs sloped perfectly into thin ankles. She turned slightly, showing him a flat stomach.
“Ahem. Here is something dry for ya.”
“Thanx.” It was the first word she said since they met in the kitchen.
She took the tee from him and met his gaze for the first time. The message was clear in his eyes. Excitement coursed through her veins for a moment but she suppressed it.
Lifting her arms she let the tee slide down her body.
“Lets dry your hair.”
“Just show me where it is. I’ll do it myself.” Her voice was unfriendly.
So they were back to square one.
She turned on the dryer and turned her back on him, dismissing him in the process.
Nothing to do but fuel his already throbbing body he decided to make some hot chocolate for them both.
Setting the two cups down he turned towards the window.
“It seems like the storm is passing.”
As if to prove him wrong, a violent clap crashed into the air.
Megan shrieked and the next moment he felt her slamming into his chest, her arms closing around his waist as she buried her face in his chest.
