Jaden came down just before his mom was on her way, asking quite politely if he may stay with his grandparents for the night. Looking over to where Jon was standing a thunderous look on his face, he shrugged.
“Ok, Peanut. Do you want me to walk you over?”
“No, I’ll be ok. Thanx mom. Tell Jason I said hi.”
“I will baby.” She left a lipstick mark on his cheek.
“G’night dad.”
“Night buddy, sweet dreams now.” His harsh words ripped at his heart, but he could see the change in his son already. Still it wasn’t fun to be the badguy.
An awkard silence stretched between them when Jaden left a few minutes later, the backdoor the only sound in the house.
She glanced over to Jon, wondering if he was going out, seeing as he wasn’t even dressed.
Her voice brought his head up, forcing him to look at her. His mouth felt dry and he was ready to fall on his knees before her, begging her not to go out with that dimwhit of a man. His pride got the better if him though.
“I thought you were going out tonight?”
“I guess.”
She look astounding in the tight black, calf length dress, the smoky stockings and high heels twisted his gut and he felt stirrings of desire flooding his veins.
Her hair was pinned on top of her head, tendrils of curls framing her face . Her makeup was subtly applied and he red lips were almost his undoing. So was a picture of femininity and she was all dressed up for some other man to enjoy.
They heard the unmistakable purr of a car and she turned from him. The look in his eyes was more than enough to set her pulse racing.
She heard his footsteps behind her, touching her shoulder briefly, she stopped.
“Let me put your jacket on. You’re going to get cold.”
Anything just too touch her. Slipping the jacket over her shoulders, he couldn’t help himself and he pressed his nose against her neck, taking in her perfume.
A tiny gasp slipped from her mouth, but she didn’t say a word.
Gripping her upper arms he pulled her back against him, his heart pounding wildly against her back. A warm, wet mouth nipped her earlobe, sucking sensually.
“Don’t go. Please baby don’t go.”
“Jon I have to. I’m sorry.”
The doorbell rang and she felt his hands slip away. With a shaky voice she said goodnight and was out the door without looking back.
Megan closed the door a sudden nausea squeezed at her tummy and she gulped, closing her eyes for a moment.
“Meg, are you ok honey? You look pale.”
“I’m ok, felt a bit feint all of a sudden.”
Circling her waist, he led her to the car, concern apparent on his handsome face.
“You look dazzling, Sweetheart!”
“Why thank you kindly sir. You look handsome yourself!”
She didn’t look, but she could feel Jon’s eyes boring into them.
Opening the car door she slipped inside, her eyes fixed on the dashboard.
Get a grip Megan! Her hand reached for the earlobe Jon just nibbled on, feeling the moistness there she closed her eyes, counting till ten. She had to get her feelings under control soon!
Jason slid in beside her, his boyish smile was contagious and not before long where they laughing and chatting.
The car stopped in front of a luxurious restaurant.
“Prana? Sounds quite interesting. Do you know the place?”
He laughed softly.
“I wish I could said yes, but I had my receptionist do a bit of homework and she said this looked like a wonderful place. So here we are.”
“Remind me to thank your receptionist when I see her , ok?”
He roared at he cheek.
“Will do but lets dine first, I might just have to fire her tomorrow morning.”
The mischievous twinkle in his eyes brought out a giggle.
“Oh you try to be a big meanie, but I know you are a softie!”
Grabbing his chest, he groaned dramatically.
“Ouch! How did I manage to let that slip!”
They were promptly shown to their seats.
“It’s a lovely place! I love the atmosphere.”
“I think its nice to but it pales in comparison to my beautiful escort.”
“Flattery will get you nowhere.”
Stroking her chin, his eyes filled with passion, the green of his eyes glittered in the low light.
“Oh, I think it will.”
