She slipped into the backdoor, making sure she did it quietly enough as to not disturb any of the men.
She reached for the coffeepot, it was still hot. Someone got here before her. Somehow she doubted that it might be Richie.
She gathered up all the dishes…is it possible that two men can make such a mess?!
She filled a cup for herself and took the first sip. Well whoever brewed this coffee sure as hell knew how. She sniffed the steam wavering from the cup, savouring the strong taste of the fresh, sweet coffee.
“Do you like my coffee?” a low voice broke the silence.
She jerked so hard, she thought she might have snapped her back. Why did he always sneak up on me?! Dammit!
She turned and smacked right into him, heat radiated from him. He was wet, all over.
She kept her hand with the coffeecup between them, not realizing how extremely huge her eyes were.
Her brain wanted her eyes to steal a glimpse of his naked torso but her body refused, fighting a war with itself.
“You didn’t answer my question, baby.”
“And you should learn how to dry yourself better. You cant afford to get sick with a tour on the way.”
“How do you know about my tour coming up, you’re not a fan are you? As for the drying…I could always find a towel and you can dry me off. We don’t want me to get sick, you’ll have to wait on me hand and foot. I’m used to the best you know.”
Oh hell, I’m gonna lose at this game..I can feel it.
Her eyes flashed.
“Don’t fool yourself. Not every woman falls for your charms and everyone isn’t a fan of Bon Jovi. As for drying you, no thank you. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a mess to clear up.”
His hand closed on hers, tilting the coffee cup his way, he took a sip, keeping her gaze prisoner with his own. Suddenly she wished she could have been that cup, feeling his lips on her…maybe she should push back the hair that was hanging in his eyes…maybe..
“You always liked sweet things….”
Why did he have to make references of their past? She hated this cat and mouse game, her nerves couldn’t stand anymore.
“Just a pity some things that seem to be so sweet, turned out to be bitter.”
Fear swept through her when the aqua blue of his eyes turned dark and stormy.
He turned and walked away, giving her enough time to marvel at his half naked perfection. He sure bulked up over the years, filling those jeans even better.
