Chapter 63

Hot tears flowed down her face as she rushed towards her parent’s house. He threw her out on her ass!!! Arrogant bastard!
Why did she let this evening happen? She and Jon just weren’t meant to be, when was she going to get it through her skull!?
Maybe I should just go back to New York and go job hunting. A least I will be close to Jaden.
Running again? The accusation seemed to be coming from everywhere.
Pummeling her pillow she groaned into the plush material.
“Shut up! Shut up!”
After she decided to suck in her gut and tackle this job head on, she fell into an exhausted sleep.
~~
She was chatting away to the servants when Jon graced them with his presence. She knew he was standing there but chose to ignore him for as long as he would allow it.
“Mornin’ ladies. Megan could you please come to the study, I would like to have a word with you.”
The girls didn’t say much, but there expressions spoke sentences. Everyone in the Bongiovi household could feel the attraction between these two and as Jon was every girl’s fantasy, they just sighed and tried to imagine what was going on behind closed doors.

Jon was sitting on the edge of the table, his feet crossed at the ankles. The crack of his leather jacket eased the quietness and her mind wandered for a moment as she looked at him. He was sure first in line when God dished out looks and charm. Lord she could throttle him right now but her body wanted to something totally different.
He perused her as she stood there. She looked so young and vulnerable with her hair tied up in a ponytail. He suppressed the need to close the distance and slide the elastic from her hair and feel it cascade over his hands.
He cleared his throat.
“I hope last night’s tiff didn’t change your mind to come with the band on tour.”
Oh so that’s what it’s about, he is worried I might let him down. No apologies for what he said.
“You think last night changed the fact that I need a job? Don’t worry. I’ll work for you. You might think I’m unreliable but I’m not. I’m a good worker and I know I’m good at my job.”
He loved the fire in her eyes and the cheeky way she lifted her chin to make her seem bigger. If she wasn’t so pissed right now he could have burst out laughing, she looked so damn cute.
She saw the glint in his eyes and it fumed her even more.
“Do I look like a joke to you or something? What’s so damn funny?”
“Nothin’” he had a hard time containing it.
“Oh eat shit Jon. I’m in no mood for your peculiarities.”
The smile wiped from his eyes.
“Fuck, did you get out of the wrong side of the bed this morning?”
“No I slept quite well, its just when I walked in here this morning….” Her words hung in the air.
He stepped forward and grabbed her on the arms, forcing her to meet his gaze.
“Well, I’m fucking sorry I’m the reason for your pissed mood baby. Just know one thing, when we go on tour, you are working for me. You will treat me with respect just as I will treat you with respect. Do we understand each other?”
“People have to earn respect not demand it. Now if you could let me go, that will be just peachy.”
He realized he had her in a deathgrip, easing his fingers off her, he saw the imprints of his fingers on her skin.
“Did I hurt you? I’m sorry.” She rubbed the skin gently.
“I’m a big girl. I can handle anything life throws my way. Don’t worry Jon I won’t embarrass you in front of your crew and your band mates. I’ll be just a roadie like the rest of them. Do I have to call you Mr.Bon Jovi too? I heard rumours that I’m not allowed to look you in the eyes, is that true?” honey dripped from her tongue while her eyes spitted venom.
She could see Jon steaming at every word she uttered, better to get out in one piece while she still can.
She slammed the door behind her.
Richie held his hands up defensively.
“Whoa darling! Do I need to run the other way? Is it safe to eat breakfast today seeing you are in a mood?”
“Buzz off Rich.” She couldn’t help but smile at the huge hunk holding his hands up.
“For you I’ll make a few extra pancakes.” She winked at him.
“Oh you are a sweetheart. Lesson number one. Always be on Meg’s good side.”
“You just remember that babe… Tell him breakfast will be ready in half an hour.”
“Will do, but I’m gonna join you in the kitchen. I need a cuppa…”
“I’ll have it ready.”
“Thanx sweetheart.”
