Chapter 5

Her eyes were spitting fire at him and the slight tap of her foot emphasized her irritation even more.

“Oh I’m sorry. Lots of things on my mind. I want to apologize for yesterday’s misunderstanding…”

An unladylike snort stopped him in his tracks.

“Misunderstanding? What misunderstanding? Did I misunderstood that you groped me and thought I might be one of your empty headed models and sigh and fall into your arms? No Scott I call that sexual harassment, not misunderstanding. But I’m sorry your mind is so clouded with women and your echo that I can see that you might use the wrong word to describe yesterday’s episode.”

“Now, now honey…”

“Megan, my name is Megan.”

“Megan. I’m sorry. I had a bit too much to drink and didn’t think clearly.”

“Oh please Scott! Don’t use that bullshit on me. Tell me, why do you do this to your wife? I wonder what she would say when I enlighten her about her husband’s indiscretions…oh wait. I know what will happen. You will be out on your ass, and her rich father will make sure you don’t get a damn penny. You are a slime ball Scott. I only came in to collect my things and then I’m out of here.”

She turned to walk out, but he stopped her.

“Are you sure you want to do this? I could close a lot of doors for you, you know.”

Her head whipped around at his venomous words, walked up to him, standing so close their noses almost touched.

“You are not that powerful, and you know it. I don’t take well to threats, Scott. I’m good at my job. I can just pick up the phone and I’ll have a job before the day is out. So fuck off and try your crap on someone else, k?

She turned on her heel, but turned back towards him.

“Oh and by the way. Touch Tracey just one more time and I’ll make sure we both file a sexual harassment case against you and then we’ll see what Mrs. Crawford has to say about her husband being a philandering asshole.”

A satisfied smirk  played on her lips as she walked out, leaving her boss gaping wordlessly at the feisty woman walking out of his office.
