She froze, all the hair on her body stood on end and she was sure she stopped breathing.
Jon sat up, never letting her wrist go, his eyes waiting for an answer.
The sheet fell from his shoulders, only to settle low on his lap.
Oh God he is totally naked underneath! Her eyes were locked on the glimpse of naked thigh displayed so carelessly.
He tucked gently and Megan felt her knees slamming against the bed. Their noses almost touch and she gulped, a feeling of panic rising inside her.
“Have you? Ever been kissed?” There was no alcohol on his breath.
“No.”
Time stood still. It felt like a flutter, a butterfly’s wing brushing up against her lips. There was no haste in that kiss, only a soft longing. It was over in mere seconds.
“Breathe baby.”
Her eyes fluttered open, only to stare in shocking blue pools.
His thumb brushed her cheek. He looked at her with new eyes. She wasn’t a child anymore. He couldn’t suppress the feeling he felt for her anymore, but for her sake he would just have to try harder .
His hand slipped from her wrist and she turned and walked out as if in a trance.
They didn’t mention what happened and as time moved on they found their cameradie again. Jon fought his feelings for her day and night. Cursing himself for falling in love with a young innocent girl.
Megan had turned from a giggling girl to a young woman overnight. She didn’t go out as much but when she did she kept her distance from Jon. It frustrated the hell out of him but he knew it was all for the best. Sometimes he caught her staring at him with a sensuous light in her eyes. Did she know what she did to him? He was a man not a rock! She caused him many a sleepless night and soaking wet sheets. Not all of that was sweat.

Megan was getting dressed. This will be the first time she will actually be alone with Jon. He was taking her to the fair and afterwards they would grab something to eat.
She decided to leave her hair hanging down her shoulders. She applied some light make up and twirled around to watch herself in the mirror. She wore a halterneck dress without a bra and a pair of comfortable sandals. Her dad’s eyebrows flicked upwards when she rushed passed him, planting a quick peck on his cheek and was gone.
His daughter was growing up so fast. Thank God there were still people like Jon. The bond between them was visible and he never for one moment, worried when Jon accompanied her. He would probably keep an eye on all the girls when they get to the fair, such a nice boy.
