Megan returned the phone back to its receiver and noticed the slight shaking of her hand.
Damn! Can this day be even more shittier? I told my boss to go screw himself and now this!? What am I going to do? I can’t afford to take time off, I need to find a new job! Shit!!
The angel on her shoulder reminded her, not too gently, of her the earlier conversation with her mother.
She stared at the cosy walls she called home for so long, nothing fancy but homely and comfortable. This might change soon…
A huge sigh, rolled through her slender form.
I guess I’ll have to go, don’t I? He wants to see me before….before…Oh God how long has it been?
Seven..no eight years! Eight long, painfully, lonely years! He cannot die now! We have to patch things up first..if that what he has in mind!
Her legs felt suddenly jittery and she sank onto her bed, her mind rushing, not sure what to think or what to do. She wanted to cry but the tears wouldn’t come.
How would she react if she saw her dad again? Would she turn into the nervous little girl she was the day he send her packing, or will she be the adult she was now? She loved her dad dearly but he always had this way of scaring the living shit out of her. He loved her, that she knew, but that day when he caught her in his bed….She relives that nightmare regularly in her dreams. The pain, hurt and finally the fury in her dad’s eyes she will never forget! NEVER!
Then she remembered the man who caused it all. Her hate for him will never falter. He put her in that position, he was older, he should have known better. The bastard! She was only sixteen and he took advantage of her!
The familiar little angel, made its voice known, starting to annoy Megan.
Now, now Megan. Its takes two to tango and you were old enough to know better too! A man is a man, give that to him on a silver plate and he’ll grab it with two hands. You gave yours on a gold platter girl! Cut the boy some slack!
He’s not a damn boy anymore..he is 32 for God’s sake! How did I know that so quickly? Oh what the hell does it matter anyway!
Electric blue eyes swam into view, a perfect row of pearlies flashed in her mind’s eye. She still remembered him with those think unruly locks of his, the wind blowing through it…
Megan shook her head furiously. Nothing she did could erase the memory of him.
“DAMN YOU JON! DAMN YOU TO HELL!”
